JEWELLERY CARE INFORMATION

Our jewellery pieces are made from high-quality, jewellery-grade stainless steel. We care deeply about each piece - not only while we are hand stamping it, but long after it has left our hands.

With proper care, your Kairos Jewellery piece can last for many many years. There are three key things to keep in mind when caring for your jewellery:

  • What your jewellery comes into contact with (such as perfumes or chemicals)

  • How often your piece is cleaned and wiped with your jewellery cloth

  • How your jewellery is stored when not being worn

Below you’ll find helpful information on what our jewellery is made of and how to best care for your pieces.

STAINLESS STEEL JEWELLERY

Our jewellery is made from high quality 316 stainless steel, known for its strength and durability. It is tarnish-free, will not go black, and will not turn your skin green. Stainless steel is also hypoallergenic, making it a great option for sensitive skin.

Our Gold and Rose Gold pieces are created using Ion Plating (IP Plating). This process bonds layers together to create a stronger, longer-lasting, and brighter finish than traditional plating. The plating will not chip or flake.

As with all plated jewellery, wear time depends on how the piece is used. To help your jewellery last longer, we recommend removing it during heavy activities, cleaning, or when using perfumes, sprays or harsh chemicals, as these can cause fading over time.

To keep your piece looking its best, gently clean it with water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. Each order includes a jewellery cloth and box or pouch - we recommend storing your jewellery in these when not wearing it to protect it from scratches.
